The schema below names the sections and characters, based on Homer's Odyssey, which are untitled in Joyce's Ulysses. It supplies the Dublin locations, the hour-by-hour schedule and the symbolic themes Joyce develops. I think, there is neither a "beginning" nor an "ending". So it is no necessary to start ' Telemachos'. Cross the stream !
ジョイス「ユリシーズ」（１９２２年）は、ホメロスの神話を参考にしながら、映画撮影の予定表の進行みたいに１９０４年６月１６日のロケーション地とテーマとシンボルが順々に記述されているんだけれど、この本は始めもないし終わりもないような流れというのが本当で、（たまたまテレマコス章が最初にあるという感じ）、そうだからこそ、読む人は全部の領域と関わり合いながら考えることができる。「ユリシーズ」の大きな特徴は、近代小説において時間発展するような抽象的他者との出会いがないこと。具体的な場所・時間と具体的な人々との出会いが書かれているのだが、これはなにを意味するか？
